Dungeness A Site is located on a 91 hectare site on the Kent coast. Following 40 years of successful electricity production, it ceased generation at the end of December 2006. The site typically produced 3.2 billion kWh per year – enough to keep 3.65 million light bulbs burning for a year. Decommissioning of the site is now underway, with preparations being made for the final defuelling of the reactors.

Dungeness raises £4,000 for Oliver Curd Charitable Trust
When staff at Dungeness heard about the Oliver Curd Charitable Trust they decided that they wanted to support this good cause. A 'Dungeness United' charity football match was the start of two months of charitable initiatives which culminated in more that £4,000 being raised for the trust. More...
